Case file No. 34

I hope all of you will take a look at CSI case file number 34, it's fantastic!
Here's the file:

Sometimes you just want to scrap something pretty, and this case file was perfect for that.
Here's my layout: "Still"

Here's the kiddo caught after a crazy jumping on the bed session. She can never sit still for me, but I managed to get this photo.

Evidence: birds, stripes, ribbon
Testimony: use inspiration word relax as a jumping off point

Journaling says:
Captured: delightfully still for just a second after jumping like a monkey on the bed.

Stuff: Rhonna Farrer Kiss Me collection, digital stamps, plus lots of CU stuff, Splendid Finns bakers twine, case file coordinates. Everything altered, grunged up, recolored, twisted and turned.

If you'd like to play this week and need a jumping off point, be sure to check out the coordinates I designed to go with the case file, here's the preview:

Free to download for CSI members! You can get them at the bottom of this post (click here).

Sketchy Sunday

The Color Room #123

I couldn't resist the color palette for the color room this week! If you are familiar with Anna Dabrowska's work, then you will see some influences here. I was lucky enough to spend an entire day learning her techniques in a class a few weeks ago. What an amazing artist she is.

Here's the palette:

Here's my layout: Elegant at Three

Stuff:
Studio Rosey Posey, now and then and kindred spirits kits
some handmade stuff, a couple Jenni Bowlin buttons, one Prima charm.

Getting Sketchy

I am a creative director/graphic designer for a media company, and I’ve been at it for a long time. I am so fortunate to be able to do what I love for a living.  I also love paper crafting.  Combining both my loves of paper crafting and my vocation, allows me to scrap digitally, design printable scrapbooking elements (coordinates) for CSI, and much more.

So why am I telling you all of this?

Well, here’s the question of the day:

Do you like to work with sketches? My scrappy-pal Joyce likes to start with a sketch. She was looking for some fresh designs, and I told her I would make some for her. So I did; and I’m going to share them with you, too!  Joyce has a romantic, shabby, mixed-media style. She’s an advanced scrapper and true artist that is always experimenting with the latest techniques. I wanted to make sketches that would work well with her style and this made for a fantastic challenge that I thoroughly enjoyed. I’m hooked on making these now, so be on the lookout for sketches here on my blog. Below are a few of my favorites so far. Enjoy!
